As Principal of Radharc na Mara, it’s my pleasure to welcome you to our school website.  We thank you for taking the time to visit.  We hope our website gives you an insight into our vibrant school community and the many learning experiences and opportunities our pupils enjoy every day.

Radharc na Mara was established in September 2020 following the amalgamation of Holy Trinity National School and St. Michael's Boys' National School.  Since then we have built on the proud traditions of both schools while creating a shared vision for the future. We are extremely proud of our school, which is situated on a beautiful seven-acre campus on the east side of Galway City, providing an exceptional environment in which our pupils can learn, grow and thrive.

Our school is home to over 360 pupils.  We have 21 mainstream classes, 5 Autism classes and in September 2026 we are very excited to open our new DLD (Language) Class, further enhancing the supports available to our pupils. Our excellent facilities include a new outdoor classroom, an outdoor garden, nurture room, sensory rooms, life-skills room, school library, a new playground and four spacious yards for our children to explore.  Pupils also enjoy GAA, soccer, basketball, rugby, boxing, athletics, swimming,  school choir and our much-loved Christmas concerts.  Our school also has an excellent pre-school and after-school facility on site.

At Radharc na Mara we believe every child’s voice matters.  We are proud of our active Student Council and Green School Committee, where pupils are encouraged to take on leadership roles and contribute positively to school life.

Our motto, "Dream, Believe, Achieve," reflects our commitment to helping every child reach their full potential. Our dedicated and highly skilled staff work together to provide a happy, safe and inclusive learning environment where children are encouraged to develop academically, socially, emotionally, physically, culturally, morally and spiritually. 

As a Roman Catholic school, under the patronage of the Bishop of Galway, we are proud of our faith, while offering a warm welcome to families of all faiths and beliefs. We value the diversity of our school community and strive to ensure that every child feels respected, supported and included.
