Teachers Message to students:
Hi girls and boys! We miss you! Happy New Year! We won’t be able to see you all in
school for a little while, so here is some fun work to keep you very busy! Don’t worry if
something is very tricky, just try your best! We know you will make all of your teachers
very proud.

English
Trace the sounds carefully. Do them just the way we write them in school. Do one
sound sheet each day. ck/e/h/r/m/d/g/o/u/l.
Maths
Go over your numbers 6, 7 and 8. Remember to write them the same way we do in
school. Count carefully!
Gaeilge
Colour the stars on the hot air balloon in BUÍ and then find some things at home that
are BUÍ. Colour the flowers DEARG and then find some things at home that are DEARG.
You can finish the pictures using any colours you like.
Science/ History/ Geography
It is winter. Do the 2 activity pages about winter.
On the first page put X on the pictures that do not belong in winter. Colour all of the
pictures.
On the second page copy the correct word under each picture and colour the pictures.
Maybe you could look in your garden for some signs of winter and draw them. You can
email them to your teacher… we would LOVE to see what you find to draw!
PE
See how many times you can throw and catch a ball in 1 minute. Can you do more the
next time? Go outside with your family for a winter walk… don’t forget to wrap up
warm though!
SPHE
Work together with someone in your family. Pick a job and work on a team to do it.
Maybe you could help with a job in the kitchen or tidying your room.
